This week’s club feature is on Hampton and Virginia Beach, VA
Both Carefree Boat Club Virginia Beach and Hampton were first opened in 2003. Both Carefree Boat Clubs are close enough to have the ability to travel from one marina to the other in the same day but are far apart enough to have different fisheries, activities, events, landscape and culture. They both are unique in their own way and offer a variety of boats, amenities, things to do on the water, and things to do off the water.

On The Water:
Currently, it’s peak season for whale watching in both Hampton and Virginia Beach. As great Atlantic cetaceans make their yearly migrations, they can be seen just off our coast and often lingering to take advantage of our food.
Did you know this area is also famous for its dolphin sightings? (Number 1 in the world!) Mothers give birth in the bay and stay with their young for over 4 years!
Both locations are home to the Chesapeake Bay! You can set sail or fish the Chesapeake Bay which is considered to be one of the best fishing locations locally, statewide and nationally!
Off The Water:
Off the water there are endless things to do and see in this area:
Around Long Bay Pointe Marina, you can do a light house tour, walk the boardwalk at the oceanfront, take a hike at First Landing State Park, take the kids to Ocean Breeze Water Park or the Virginia Aquarium and Marine Science Center!
Around Blue Water Yacht Marina, you can visit and shop downtown Hampton, stop in Paradise Ocean Club for a bite to eat, tour the historical Fort Monroe (as seen above) or the Virginia Air & Space Museum.
Make sure to come and see us this weekend, Feb.5-7, 2015 at the Mid Atlantic Sports and Boat Show at the Virginia Beach convention center!
