About Meredith, NH & Lake Winnipesaukee
Goodhue Boat Company in Meredith, NH was formerly operated as Shep Brown’s Boat Basin for over 100 years – nestled into this 13-acre nook in the shoreline of Lake Winnipesaukee since 1919, and yes, was started by who else but local tradesman, Shep Brown. Meredith is home to many great restaurants and shopping options, and is just ten miles from Weirs Beach. If you have to start your morning off with a coffee, make sure to swing by Mello Moose Coffee House for a great coffee and Sunshine & Pa’s for the best breakfast you’ll ever have!
You can browse shops in Mill Falls Marketplace, stop by Karlins Wine, Cheese, & Provisions, and even treat your four-legged friend in 603 Paws, an adorable little pet store. If you want some outdoor time, stop at Hesky Park. For a great meal, you can stop at The Lakeview Tavern or Lago for some delicious dockside dinner. If you’re planning a day on the lake, Paugus Bay is a great, popular spot to anchor for a bit and enjoy the breeze. If you need a break from the lake life, you can venture over to Castle in the Clouds in Moultonborough for some breath-taking views and a history lesson or two. You can even revive your inner child and stop by the largest arcade in the world at Funspot! Don’t miss out stopping at Kellerhaus for some amazing, sweet treats and the cutest little ice cream shop. Located right off the Meredith town docks, you can also grab a bite to eat at Camp or Hermit Woods Winery & Eatery. Little Dog Paper Co and SageBerry Candle Company are great shops to swing by if you’re wanting to shop. If you’re in the mood for some light hiking, you can take a trip over to Abenaki Tower and head out on a short hike to the top of the tower for some amazing views of the area. If you’re wanting a more difficult hiking experience, you can head to Mount Major in Alton. After winding down your day on the lake, you can swing by Vida At The Lake for an authentic Mexican meal or Canoe for a lakeside experience. If you’re wanting a more casual dining experience, swing by Elvio’s Pizza or Pie Guy’s Pizza for a delicious, easy dinner.
If you want to kick back and relax with a movie, you can stop over at Barnz’s Meredith Cinema. Another great spot for relaxing is Twin Barns Brewing Company – they have excellent food and wide selection of craft beer. Crack the Code offers an escape room experience in Meredith that is sure to bring some fun and smiles to the whole family! And don’t forget to stop by Lee’s Candy Kitchen!
