Introducing Allan, our dedicated dock manager, and jack-of-all-trades! Allan has been an integral part of the club for a little over 6 years, where you’ll often find him tending to the docks, fixing boats, training members, or handling any task that comes his way. However, his favorite part of the job is interacting with our members on the docks before or after their reservations!
Allan’s favorite boat in the fleet is an older one, the Cobalt, Happy Ours! He says, it doesn’t have any fancy gauges or electronics but handles better than any boat that he’s driven. Looking back on all the memories Allan has made during his time at the Club, the ones that stick out the most are the hot summers bringing up intense pop-up storms. He says “Getting caught in them can be quite stressful. But at the end when all the boats, members, and staff are safe, it is quite refreshing, other than having wet feet.”
Before joining Carefree, Allan gained valuable experience working at a marina, where he developed a deep love for the lake environment and its atmosphere. After meeting Marc and Oana, he was impressed with how they care for each of their employees and members and how down-to-earth they are. Allan knew he wanted to be a part of it, “I cherish the friendships and memories created here, and I hope I can continue for a long time to come.” he expresses.
Outside of work, Allan’s favorite pastime is spending quality time with his family. Lately, they’ve been enjoying learning to play Fortnite and soccer together. Allan cherishes every moment he gets to spend with his loved ones. If you spot Allan down on the docks, be sure to say hello!
