We’re excited to share the news of our move, just around the corner, to Harbortowne Marina on April 1st! A short 4-minute drive from our previous location at McLean Marina on Lake Wylie, where we opened last summer, this move brings many new opportunities for the club. We’re adding two more boats to our fleet in Belmont this summer, paving the way for future expansion there. The transition to Harbortowne will not only streamline our boat fueling process with on-the-water gas availability but also offers amenities like a fully stocked ship store, covered slips, and our very own office space. Here’s to smooth sailing and exciting ventures ahead at Harbortowne!

Spotlight
Say hello to Dana, she has been one of our beloved Dock Managers for a little over five years now! She grew up boating and cherishes those memories with her family, so now she loves being able to help families re-create that every day. “It’s hard to get kids and adults to unplug. Boating out on the lake with your friends and family is a great way to reconnect and make those memories that will last your entire life.” Dana said.
Among the fleet of boats, Dana oversees, her favorites are the double-deckers, who doesn’t love a slide? They are a hit with members of all ages! But beyond the fun and excitement, Dana’s fondest memory of her time at Carefree is after we are cleaned up and closed for the evening and the beauty of the sunsets over the lake. She finds herself wondering how she is so lucky to have this job! “Look at this beautiful lake and amazing sunset. God is good.”
Outside of work, Dana loves to spend her time traveling and hanging out with her sweet grand-babies. As she reflects on her time at Carefree she emphasizes that we have an amazing team who all work hard to make sure our members are taken care of! Marc and Oana not only allowed her to be an employee of this awesome company but also made her feel like family.
