Carefree Boat Club is in the news! Carefree Boat Club has made a SPLASH into the Milwaukee scene being featured in the BizTimes Milwaukee Business News, TMJ 4 Milwaukee NBC News: Sunday Insight, and 540 ESPN Milwaukee radio. The current members are taking advantage of an incredible opportunity to pay a fraction of the cost of boat ownership to use a variety of boats in their fleet in various locations across the country. Their membership allows them to own the fun, not the hassle involved in boat ownership.
The article in Biztimes describes how the owners of Carefree Boat Club in Milwaukee, family owned business, started the club. The club is run by a father and son-in-law team, with the whole family involved in ownership. The idea for the family to start their own club began when the owner’s son, Justin, became a member of the North Carolina Carefree Boat Club on Lake Norman. Justin told his father to join the club in Florida near their family condo in Largo, but after learning the benefits of this wonderful club, he decided to start his own club in Milwaukee. He chose Milwaukee, and specifically Harbor Front and Centerpointe Marinas, because of its proximity to Lake Michigan, fun-river cruising, and the large city. There are numerous restaurants located directly on the river that you can easily dock your boat right in front of. One restaurant will even serve your food and drinks while you are sitting on your boat. Right next to the marinas is the mouth of Lake Michigan, where our members can cruise, tube and check out the beautiful skyline Milwaukee has to offer.
On NBC’s Sunday-Insight-Milwaukee Susie Falk describes the pros and cons of boat sharing. The only glass half empty comment is that time is running out for boating season in Milwaukee but the good news is that you can visit nearly 50 other locations across the country when it’s too cold to boat during the winters in the Midwest.
