The mission of Carefree Boat Club is to create lifelong memories for our member’s families and friends by providing a boating experience that is fun, easy, safe, and hassle-free primarily through professional boat safety training, quality maintenance, excellent customer service, and unsurpassed industry knowledge.
With that mission in mind, we would like to inform you of the steps we are taking in response to the COVID-19 Coronavirus.
We are monitoring the information and guidance being produced by the World Health Organization (WHO) and the Center for Disease Control (CDC). Our primary concern is to ensure the safety of you, your families, and our staff.
Currently, we have implemented the following:
- Sanitation of boats and facilities: In accordance with the CDC guidelines on disinfecting procedures (see here for full details) we are ensuring that each boat is cleaned and disinfected prior to each outing. We are also ensuring that our office spaces and other facilities that we maintain are regularly cleaned and disinfected as well.
- Staff Education & Training: In addition to the additional cleaning being performed by our staff, we have briefed and instructed them to avoid physical contact (handshakes, etc.) with members where possible and to ensure that they are more frequently washing/sanitizing their hands. They have also been instructed not to come to work if they are experiencing any flu-like symptoms.
- Each of our clubs are assessing the situation in their area, complying with the guidance and mandates of their municipalities, and will make any changes in operating hours as they see fit. For most of our locations, we do not anticipate any closings. However, this is still an evolving issue and we will communicate any changes as they occur.
For those of you with pending reservations, we will do our utmost to ensure that your outing is as safe, fun, and carefree as it always is.
