Across the board, life has looked just a little different these past few weeks. Following closely in the wake of COVID-19 are closed restaurants and shops, slowed travel, and social distancing, all in a united effort to diminish contagion. Towns are a little more sleepy, and lives are a little less noisy. Lately, contributing our part to the wellbeing of America involves less hustle and bustle, and more home-bodying. Though important to obey government-issued orders to stay home, it is no secret that the coronavirus is not the only bug being passed around…queue the quarantine blues! Most likely, if you and your family have heeded the call to stay inside, you are rocking along to the quarantine blues. While cabin fever sets in, it is important to counteract with creative ways to enjoy the spring weather with the people you love.
Because of the mandates issuing citizens to stay put, finding new ways to pass the time has become imperative. This looks a bit different for everyone-but it presents the perfect opportunity to take advantage of the gorgeous nature Tennessee is known for. Miles of wide-open, untouched lake lie just in our backyard, and boating is the perfect way to rally your family together and enjoy fresh air and a great time.
As the Carefree Boat Club, we are doing everything in our power to prevent the spread of COVID-19, while still offering our members an outlet to enjoy a change of scenery. This includes steps taken to provide a fully sanitized watercraft, by hiring a professional third party cleaning service to ensure the safety of our members, staff and marina personnel. As we “air” link arms with our country during a time of crisis, we encourage our friends to utilize wide open spaces to enjoy time with family, and maybe even cure the quarantine blues!
