Allison Creek opens about half a mile off the bow, and Big and Little Allison are the playground this end of the lake is known for. Tucked in the back of Little Allison, the SC Sandbar is shallow, sandy and reachable only by boat, which is why the whole family loves it. Lake Wylie carries 325 miles of shoreline across two states, and down here that means quiet coves off the open channel. Almost everything worth stopping for sits within a few miles of the slip, so head out through the cove in the morning, cruise home at dusk, and let lake life fill the rest of the day.
