A Carefree Boat Club of Charlotte membership includes unlimited boating at four local marinas across the region's three prominent lakes: Kings Point Marina on Lake Norman in Cornelius, Tega Cay Marina and Harbortowne Marina on Lake Wylie near Fort Mill and Belmont, and Hickory Pub and Marina on Lake Hickory. Wherever you live in the Charlotte Area, one of our docks is a short drive away. We'll have your boat fueled and fully prepped. You simply show up and go. We take care of the rest.
Boating Without Owning a Boat

Wherever you live in the Charlotte area, we have a location near you. North of the city, Kings Point Marina is our home port. Kings Point serves Cornelius, Huntersville, and Davidson with access to Lake Norman, North Carolina's largest lake. On Lake Wylie, pick your access point with two amazing marinas. The Tega Cay Marina sits conveniently on the south end of Lake Wylie, near Fort Mill. Our Harbortowne Marina location is minutes from west Charlotte and Gastonia. Out west, the Hickory Pub and Marina offers a perfect launching point for accessing Lake Hickory in Catawba County. Free Training for Every Member
Every membership includes free, unlimited training, whether you've boated for decades or never touched a throttle. Start with a NASBLA-certified boating safety course, then take one-on-one, on-water instruction with our dock staff until docking, navigation, and open water all feel easy and Carefree. First-timers are welcome! Many of our members started exactly there. From navigating the fairway to using our ultra-modern surf boats, our staff will ensure you are always ready to enjoy your day on the waters of Lake Norman, Lake Wylie or Lake Hickory.
