Contributor: Carefree Boat Club of Southern Connecticut
Dear Members,
As the holiday season approaches and schedules get busier than usual, we would like to take the time to reach out to everyone with one of many informational emails we will be sending throughout the winter months. Our topics will cover how you can save by renewing your membership early, the 2020 Fleet, how we plan to minimize damage to ensure the entire fleet is available for boating and much more. Today’s message will address early renewals and our plan for increasing the Fleet for 2020.
Early Renewals
You have received or will be receiving an email from me regarding your 2020 renewal. We have held our existing pricing since we opened the Club in 2016, but with increases in operating costs we find it necessary to increase the cost of membership programs on January 1, 2020. A breakdown of 2019 pricing vs. 2020 pricing is included in my email which will address your specific renewal date together with information on our deferred payment plan. If you will be renewing your membership in 2020 take advantage of our cost savings offer, which will run through December 31, 2019. Just $1000 down will allow you to renew now and lock in 2019 pricing. If you have any questions, please give me a call at 1-844-4GOBOAT.
2020 Fleet
In 2019 members had access to 24 boats. Our plan, based on current renewal and new member assumptions for 2020, is to increase the fleet to 30 and assign them as follows:
- Milford: 2 Chaparrals / 1 Robalo
- Black Rock: 1 Chaparral / 1 Rinker / 2 Robalos
- Westport: 1 Chaparral / 1 Bayliner / 1 Brig / 2 Rinkers / 3 Robalos
- Stamford: 2 Chaparrals / 1 Bayliner / 1 Brig / 1 Rinker / 4 Robalos
- Rye: 1 Bayliner / 2 Brigs / 1 Rinker / 1 Robalo
- Old Saybrook: 1 Bayliner
We have already placed orders for three 2020 Robalos – Models R247 Dual-Console and R242EX Center Console. Robalo has made improvements to both models that will allow fishermen and families alike to enjoy the ride!
