Carefree Boat Club located in Stafford, VA has a beautiful protected marina in Aquia Creek named Hope Springs Marina. This marina was established in 1993 and already has a rich history in which in the owners worked tirelessly over 21 years to continue to expand the amenities and location. Area Attractions

Local on the Creek: Best Bass Fishing around. Home of Several Bass Fishing Clubs and several contests annually. Aquia Creek and Potomac Creek are good for water skiing and tubing.

Up River: See the President’s helicopter hangar at Quantico, George Washington’s Home at Mt Vernon, Old Ft Washington, The Old Port of Alexandria, The New National Harbor and the Capital Wheel (an 85′ Ferris Wheel) on the Boardwalk, see the Lincoln, Jefferson and Washington Monuments from the water, visit Georgetown for a waterside dinner at the Quay.

Down River: Visit many on-water marinas with boating amenities: Popes Creek, Tall Timbers, Colonial Beach, Coles Point Plantation, Port Kinsale, St. Mary’s City and Point Lookout.

In either direction there are towns and villages with local fare: Arts & Crafts shows, Crab Feasts, Clambakes, Oyster Roasts, Bull Roasts and Barbecue events. Stay here and 4 times a year, Hope Springs Marina has family oriented parties with music BBQ and everybody has a great time.
