We’ll kick things off at 10 AM on April 26th at the picnic tables next to the clubhouse at Kings Point Marina. Our instructors will cover the key sailing basics, answer any questions, and then we’ll break into groups and make our way to the sailboats for some hands-on practice.
Come learn, have fun, and make the most of our sailboats! RSVP now—spots are limited!
Carefree Boat Club of Charlotte is turning 15, and we’re throwing a Hawaiian-themed party to celebrate! Join us on June 8th at the Kings Point Marina clubhouse for an afternoon of great food, fun games, and even better company. More details coming soon, but trust us- you won’t want to miss this!
Thank you to everyone who pre-ordered their Carefree Boat Club lake t-shirts! They’ve been ordered and will arrive soon. We’ll reach out via email with pickup details.
This time of year brings windy conditions, so please boat with caution. Strong winds can create rough waters and make maneuvering more challenging. For safety, boating will be temporarily suspended if winds reach 12-15 mph until conditions improve. We monitor wind speeds using the Windy App at all our locations– you can download it from the app store to stay informed.
To all of our Kings Point boaters, please remember to display your parking pass when parked at this location. If you do not have a parking pass, please see Carolyn in the office and she will issue you one.
To our Tega Cay boaters, members can park in the designated Carefree Member spots with a Carefree pass but all your guests must park in the top lot. While guests don’t need a Carefree pass, they must park in the top lot, as towing is being enforced. If you’re a member and don’t have a pass or the designated spots are full, please park in the top lot with your guests.
To keep our fleet in the best condition, pets are welcome on our pontoons but are no longer allowed on inboard boats. Pet hair can clog the bilge pump, causing it to fail and take on water, leading to downtime for repairs. We appreciate your cooperation with this policy.
One of our Crownline E235 Surfs, 4th and Inches, is now located at our Belmont location, Harbortowne Marina! The E235 Surf is the do-it-all watersports boat that’s perfect for every wakeboarder, skier, and surfer in the family!
This crossover model is built for all skill levels, with a center ballast system and two additional bags at port and starboard, totaling 1,500 lbs. of ballast for well-shaped waves. It also features Volvo’s Forward Facing Drive, which places the propeller in front of the sterndrive’s lower unit for a safer surfing experience.
TowBoatUS Memberships are now available for purchase for all Carefree Boat Club Members in 2025! Although our members rarely need towing assistance, it does happen a few times each season. The club only covers the cost of towing due to mechanical breakdown, but a grounded boat is not covered by the club. And just like our club, TowBoatUS offers reciprocity, providing you with peace of mind and assistance even when you’re exploring other locations TowBoatUS services! For Questions and Inquiries, Captain Logan Thomas will be happy to help: (803) 681-0911 or [email protected].
