Charlotte ⚓️ June 2026

POSTED: Jun 4, 2026

It’s officially summer, and we can’t wait to see everyone back down on the docks! I recorded a quick video to walk you through what’s been happening at the club and what you can expect as we head into our peak season!

Total Peace of Mind: Launching the Carefree WaveShield Plan

If you spend enough time on the water, you may have experienced unexpected damage. To eliminate the stress of out-of-pocket repair bills, we’re proud to officially roll out the Carefree WaveShield Plan. This new program slashes your maximum physical damage exposure by 80%, bringing the standard $2,500 deductible down to a maximum cap of just $500 per incident.

  • Major Deductible Protection: Caps your liability at $500 max per incident for up to two occurrences per year, covering major hull, structural, gelcoat, or mechanical incidents.
  • Minor Incident Forgiveness: Gives you an annual $500 cumulative credit bank to completely cover equipment or minor aesthetic damage (like dropped fenders or lost anchors).
  • Propeller Forgiveness: Your repair or replacement fee is completely eliminated ($0 out of pocket) for your first propeller incident of the year, regardless of the damage level.
Don’t let damage anxiety keep you off the water this summer. Click here to explore the full plan overview, view transparent pricing details, read our complete FAQs, and lock in your coverage before your next outing!

Our Biggest Referral Reward Ever (Fuel on Us!)

Our referral program is better than ever! This summer, when you refer someone who joins between now and August, you’ll both receive a free month of dues, and we’ll also completely comp your boat fuel costs for the rest of the summer, through August 31st! We’ll be passing out Member Referral Cards for you to share with friends and family.

Behind the Scenes: Backing Our Fleet & Our Staff

We’re committed to making your experience seamless from the moment you step onto the dock to the moment you return. Our team is there to help you load and unload, answer any questions about the lake, guide you safely out of the slip, and welcome you back in just as smoothly!

When you experience exceptional service, please mention the dock hands by name in your post-outing survey so we can reward them! And feel free to pass along a little unexpected gratitude to the kids themselves when they do a great job – your tips buy a lot of Chick-Fil-A for these guys!

Events

National Fishing and Boating Week is June 6–14 this year! This national celebration is all about getting out on the water and exploring the many ways to enjoy our lakes, rivers, and coastlines. Whether that’s casting a line, cruising, or just soaking it all in. It’s also a great reminder of why we love life on the water: relaxation, fresh air, and quality time with family and friends. We hope you get out and enjoy some time on the lake, and don’t forget to send us your boating and fishing photos for a chance to be featured on our social media!

To our Kings Point and Tega Cay boaters, a quick reminder on parking at both locations. At Kings Point, please ensure your parking pass is clearly displayed whenever your vehicle is on-site, and have your guests use the designated parking in the back lot. At Tega Cay, members may park in the marked Carefree Member spaces with a parking pass, while all guests should park in the top lot. If you’re a member without a pass or if member spaces are full, please park in the top lot with your guests. Towing is actively enforced at both locations, so we appreciate your help in keeping parking organized for everyone.
