Member Housekeeping
To keep our fleet in the best condition, pets are welcome on our pontoons but are no longer allowed on inboard boats. Pet hair can clog the bilge pump, causing it to fail and take on water, leading to downtime for repairs. To keep our boats in top shape and available for members, we appreciate your cooperation with this policy.
With this time of the year comes windy conditions—please boat carefully! Strong winds can create rough waters, making maneuvering more difficult. If winds reach 12-15 mph, we’ll need to temporarily suspend boating for safety until conditions improve.
Lake Norman boaters: Be aware that lake levels are low, and hidden hazards like stumps and rocks may now be exposed. Reduce speed, avoid cutting corners, and leave extra space around buoys, docks, points, and markers to protect yourself and the boats.
