Events At The Club

This past month we sponsored the Carolina Show Ski Team event, all the performers did awesome! It was fun getting to see some of our very own staff members show off their skills too. The Ski Team will be performing every Friday at 7pm through mid-August at Windjammer Park Beach on Lake Wylie.

We will be hosting our Summer Social for all members! Keep a look out in your email for an invitation with details of when and where the event will be.

Member Housekeeping

To ensure a smooth and efficient docking process, we kindly request that you send a text to the dock phone when you are en route back to the marina. This will greatly assist us in allocating resources and preparing the appropriate slip for your arrival!

As the temperature rises and summer reaches its peak, it’s important for everyone to keep an eye on the weather. The increasing warmth brings unpredictable pop-up storms that can appear suddenly and move quick. We hope that all of our members will stay updated on the weather conditions, as we want to ensure the safety of everyone. Getting caught in the middle of the lake during one of these storms could be very dangerous. 

We are excited to offer our members the chance to join TowBoat US, as it guarantees peace of mind not only on Lake Norman and Lake Wylie but also on any other lake serviced by TowBoat US. A reminder that, our marina on Lake Norman, Kings Point Marina, has implemented a parking pass program. The paved marina parking lot is for members only, including our Carefree Boat Club members. The grass lot in the back is open for guests and anyone who does not have a parking pass. Your car will be subject to tow or boot if you’re in the paved lot without a pass. If you haven’t collected your parking pass, we kindly request you visit our office at Kings Point Marina. Please note that we can only provide one pass per family. As a courtesy to other marina members, please only use the marina parking lot when you’re boating. We are only allocated 30 parking spaces and members are not allowed to use the parking lot for any other purpose than boating.

We will be hosting a video challenge in the facebook group! We want to see who has the best videos using the double decker slide, wake surfing or wakeboarding, tubing, fishing, or just lounging around on a beautiful day. Post your videos in our members only facebook group for a chance to win a gas credit.

As the 4th of July festivities approach, we would like to emphasize the importance of staying safe on the water! The next few days will be some of the busiest days on the lake during the year.
