The Carefree Boat Club locations in South F
lorida (Pompano Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Aventura, Coconut Grove) are supporting Reza Baluchi on his trip across the sea in a hydro pod vessel. Reza departed yesterday (April 24th) from Pompano Beach, FL and was escorted by a support boat that Carefree Boat Club owner Brian LaRue captained. Brian followed him to the 3-mile mark and wish him well as he departed on his journey.

According to his publicist, “Reza’s five month journey at sea, begins in Pompano Beach, Florida heading North to Jacksonville then East, to Georgia, to Bermuda Triangle, then Puerto Rico, to Haiti then Cuba and back to Key West, with the final destination returning to North Ocean Park in Pompano Beach, Reza plans sprinkle ashes from ground zero in each ocean.” Reza’s total trip will be around 85,000 miles!
Brian and Katie Hall (also of Carefree Boat Club) wanted to help support Reza’s efforts to raise money for some great south Florida charities benefiting children and other causes. “Carefree thought it would be a fun and exciting thing for us to participate in,” said Katie.
If you’d like to support Reza’s goal of raising money for Plant Unity, a non-profit organization with a mission to provide education for children across the world, click here. See a video on Reza from ABC News here.
We wish Reza the best on his journey and are thrilled to be part of this wonderful mission!
