Oak Grove Marina:
Carefree Boat Club Annapolis is located at Oak Grove Marina (Edgewater, MD) overlooking South River and just outside the city of Annapolis.
A unique feature of Oak Grove Marina is it’s practical location. Trying to get to Annapolis, MD via car can be a pain due to heavy traffic. However, Oak Grove Marina provides easy access to Annapolis via boat. Marina amenities include a fuel dock with both gas and diesel, pump-out services, and full restrooms with showers.
Yellowfin Restaurant is also located on-site in addition to a Cold Stone Creamery Ice cream. Yellowfin is famous for their Sunday buffets and have great seafood and steaks so be sure to stop in!

With so much to see and do, Carefree Boat Club Annapolis is the perfect getaway for boaters! Water skiing is very popular in this area, and there are plenty of ski ports within minutes of the marina. You can head two miles upriver to the South River Water Ski Course. These calm waters are a designated ski and tubing spot and are buoyed off with a slalom course and ski ramp.
In addition to water skiing, Annapolis has the most popular cruising destination with hundreds of restaurants, bars and hotels alongside the South River.
Don’t forget fishing! Anglers will appreciate the many fishing options available in and along the shores of the Chesapeake Bay. The largest U.S. estuary, where fresh water meets salt water that leads to the sea, the Chesapeake Bay starts in northeast Maryland and extends south about 200 miles to Norfolk, Virginia.
Carefree Boat Club winterizes their boats starting November 15th but there are plenty of seasonal attractions on the water in the winter thanks to local events such as light/boat parades and other events listed below.

Events are held on a quarterly basis and presented by Carefree Boat Club Associate, Michael Strotz. Events are based around “Things To See and Do” in the area. Starting in January, Michael will be covering topics alternating in home show, boat show and open houses.
