The Channel Islands is a favorite destination. Members can see the cliffs and coves of Anacapa and Santa Cruz islands which are about 16 miles offshore. However, even just 3 miles off the coast in the members regularly see dolphins and whales. Along the coast there are beaches and piers against a mountainous background. Even spending the day exploring the harbors with Venice like canals and bridges is a relaxing option.
