A New Class of Boating Has Arrived at Carefree Boat Club of Tennessee

POSTED: Jul 22, 2026

There are new boats—and then there are boats that change what a day on the water can look like. The Moomba Max and Moomba Craz are joining the Carefree Boat Club of Tennessee fleet, bringing bold performance, serious surf capability and space for the people who make lake days matter.

For current members, their arrival means two exciting new ways to use the club. For anyone considering membership, they are a powerful example of the Carefree advantage: access to premium boating experiences without purchasing, storing, towing, maintaining or cleaning the boat yourself.

Meet the Moomba Max: Built for Big Days

The Moomba Max lives up to its name. It is a 22-foot boat with a 24-foot length including the platform, a spacious bow and seating for up to 16. Its broad, confident design makes it ideal for the days when the guest list grows, the gear multiplies and nobody wants the adventure to end early.

With up to 5,000 pounds of ballast and Moomba’s integrated surf technology, the Max can create the kind of customizable wave that turns an ordinary outing into the story everyone tells afterward. Smart storage helps keep the cockpit organized, while the touchscreen and intuitive systems put key functions within easy reach.

In plain language: Max is big, capable and built to make the whole crew feel part of the action—even when only one person is behind the boat.

Meet the Moomba Craz: Versatility Meets Performance

The Moomba Craz brings a different personality to the fleet. Also 22 feet long, with a 24-foot length including the platform, it combines performance with the flexibility to shift gears throughout the day. It offers seating for up to 15 and up to 4,500 pounds of ballast, making it equally ready for a relaxed cruise, a high-energy session or an afternoon that includes a little of everything.

The Craz is for crews who do not want to choose between comfort and capability. Its practical storage, non-skid flooring and intuitive controls support an experience that feels elevated without becoming unnecessarily complicated.

Technology Designed to Make Better Waves—and Better Days

Both boats pair Moomba’s Flow Surf System with SmartPlate™ hull technology and AutoWake®. Together, these systems help create a consistent, customizable wake and wave. Rather than asking the driver to manage every variable manually, the technology helps the boat maintain the settings that shape the experience behind it.

Of course, powerful tow boats require respect, training and good judgment. Carefree members must follow all club training and operating requirements before reserving these models. That protects the boats, the people onboard and everyone else sharing the lake.

Why Access Can Beat Ownership

Premium boats deliver unforgettable experiences, but ownership comes with far more than a purchase price. A boat owner must also plan for storage, a tow vehicle and trailer, insurance, routine service, repairs, winterization, cleaning and eventual resale. Even when the boat is not being used, the responsibility remains.

Carefree Boat Club changes that equation. Members gain access to a fleet of boats at multiple club locations. The team prepares the boat before the reservation, and members return it when the outing is over. There is no need to tow a boat to the lake, find a place to keep it or spend the end of a perfect day scrubbing it down.

You own the memory—not the maintenance schedule.

Fleet access also means you are not forced to make one boat serve every purpose. Choose a Moomba when the day calls for surfing or wakeboarding. Choose a pontoon when the plan is a relaxed cruise. Select another boat when the crew, occasion or lake changes. The freedom to choose may be the most valuable feature of all.
