Autumn is the season of change. The back-to-school frenzy is becoming a little less hectic, while our green Appalachian trees are beginning to shed their summer coats. A refreshing change of temperature, the foliage painting the mountain scenery with a new palette of colors, and a little well-deserved change of pace accompany this time of year. As we welcome October with open arms, our lives begin to look a little bit different, not just our day-to-day routine, but the way we relax. A beautiful change of season means a lovely change in our boating lives. Fall may mean saying goodbye to your bathing suits and wakeboards for a little while, but your favorite pontoon and surf boats are here to stay.
Trust us, you are not the only one who associates boating exclusively with summer. It is a pretty common mistake. When the lake is mentioned, warm and sunny afternoons and sweet summertime memories are typically the first to come to mind. Thankfully, your friendly neighborhood boating experts are here to let you know that boating and autumn weather make a perfect pair! Along with lakeside tailgating, fishing, and sunset movie nights, there is an abundance of fun and festive activities to be enjoyed. If you are looking to switch things up, or maybe even plan a sweet night for your sweetie, bring along a star map and a few blankets and go night boating (pumpkin spice lattes are welcome). Not to mention our local lakes host absolutely breathtaking scenery, it is worth a trip out there just for the view!
We are so excited to see what this season has in store for you all, and for the fall traditions to begin! This autumn, take advantage of everything the season has to offer, and take a load off…the Carefree way!
