July 4th Fireworks in Hampton Roads! There are a plethora of patriotic happenings no matter where in Hampton Roads you are this Fourth of July. The events are free and on Mon, July 4th unless otherwise stated
Virginia Beach: July 4th Fireworks
Stars and Stripes Explosion at the Oceanfront is July 4th from 8-11pm. Live entertainment along the boardwalk starting a 8pm. Fireworks begin at 9:30. The fireworks are launched from a barge on 20th and be see along the boardwalk and beach.
First Landing National Park’s celebration is July 4th from 10am – 9pm on the Chesapeake Bay side. A full day of family fun begins at the big tent is at the end of the park’s boardwalk. The fantastic day of fanfare concludes with their own fireworks display
July 4th Celebration at Mt Trashmore
Celebration is July 4th from 4- 10. Live music and fireworks are free. Concession stands will be on site for food and beverages.
Sandbridge Fourth of July Firework and Celebration is at 9:10pm. The epicenter is on the pond at the intersection of Sand Bend and Back Bay Crescent. There is a boat parade followed by a fireworks display.
Norfolk: July 4th Fireworks
33rd Annual 4th of July Great American Picnic & Fireworks
Leave the grilling to Festevents on the 4th of July and bring your family and friends down to Town Point Park. Guests can buy traditional all American fare, including hot dogs, hamburgers, barbecue, seafood, buttered corn on the cob, juicy watermelon, lemonade and much more available for purchase! Relax on the lawn and enjoy the live entertainment by the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command Band, then watch as the sky lights up with the fireworks display at 9:30 p.m.!
Chesapeake: July 4th Fireworks
Celebrate freedom with your family at Chesapeake City Park with a concert from the U.S. Army TRADOC Command Band. Kids will enjoy face painting, lawn games and inflatables. Live music by local entertainment. Food trucks and other concessions will be onsite. The Chesapeake Fine Arts Commission will be sponsoring a silent auction and raffle. Event starts at 5 p.m. Fireworks start at 9:15 p.m. Chesapeake City Park. **NOTE: this event is Sunday, July 3rd!!!
35th Annual South Norfolk Parade & Picnic in the Park
Watch a parade, enjoy live entertainment, partake in delicious edibles, play games and go on paddleboat rides at this family-friendly event. From 10 a.m.–4 p.m. at Lakeside Park
Hampton: July 4th Fireworks
Come to Fort Monroe and spend the day on Outlook Beach. Check out the Casemate Museum with free admission. Enjoy music from the U.S. Fleet Forces Four Star Edition Ensemble at 7:30pm and then watch the fireworks over Fort Monroe starting at 9:15pm. Food and drinks will be for sale onsite.
Newport News: July 4th Fireworks
Spend the evening on the James River with a free concert and fireworks display at Victory Landing Park. Enjoy food and drinks for sale, plus rides and crafts for kids. Victory Landing Park
Portsmouth: July 4th Fireworks
Independence Day Fireworks
Watch the fireworks on the water in Portsmouth. Fireworks begin at 9pm following a special concert from the Tidewater Concert Band at Portside Park at 6:30pm. Crawford Parkway
Suffolk: July 4th Fireworks
See the fireworks in Suffolk at Constant’s Wharf Park! Event starts at 5:30pm and the fireworks display begins at 9pm. Hear music by Affirmative Groove and enjoy food and drinks for sale onsite. Event is held at Constant’s Wharf Park
Williamsburg: July 4th Fireworks
Celebrate Independence Day in historic Colonial Williamsburg. Activities and celebrations begin at 10am. Enjoy colonial-themed activities throughout the day, such as three-legged-races, crafts and tomahawk throwing. Hear performances by the Colonial Williamsburg Fifes and Drums and The Jangling Reinharts. There will be sumptuous food as guests feast on a come-and-go as you please buffet dinner at the Williamsburg Lodge. Fireworks start at 9:20 p.m., and reserved seating is included. Tickets available online, $85 for adults and $55 for children ages 6–12.
Yorktown: July 4th Fireworks
Yorktown Independence Day Celebration
Come salute America along the Yorktown Waterfront with a patriotic parade on Water Street at 9am Evening activities feature a bell-ringing ceremony at 7pm, live music at 8pm and spectacular fireworks on the York River at 9:15 pm
