Tickets are $38 per person and are available at Mount Vernon’s Ford Orientation Center or through mountvernon.org. The Saturday night festival often sells out. This event takes place rain or shine, tickets are limited and all sales are final.
Oktoberfest at Capitol City Brewing Company
October 3, 2015, 12-7 p.m.
Shirlington Village, Arlington, Virginia. Sample more than 60 beers and a variety of foods, while enjoying lively German entertainment. Admission: $30, free for non-drinkers. Shirlington library will host kid’s events.
Open weekends, August 29-October 25, 2015, 10 a.m.-7 p.m.
The annual 6-week festival recreates a 16th century English village with crafts, food, live performances on 8 stages, a jousting arena and lots of games. The Maryland Renaissance Festival is a fun family event held in Anne Arundel County, about 30 miles from Washington, DC.

K Street NW, between Wisconsin Avenue and Thomas Jefferson Street, along the Georgetown Waterfront, Washington DC. At a Taste of Georgetown, approximately 35 of Washington, DC’s most distinguished restaurants serve sample portions of their signature dishes. The food festival includes live jazz, craft beer and wine and a variety of entertainment for all ages.
Taste of Bethesda
October 3, 2015, 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.
At the annual Taste of Bethesda, sample the foods of more than 50 restaurants, enjoy four stages of live entertainment and visit the kids corner for cookie decorating, face painting and giveaways. The Taste of Bethesda is held in conjunction with Best of Bethesda Day which features a classic car show and Rescue Day.
