Fantastic boating destinations abound in the San Francisco Bay, but owning a boat is expensive and so is a San Francisco Bay boat rental. However, a better option exists to reach these fun places, namely the Carefree Boat Club in Alameda! We are a member-only club that allows you to use our new or late model boats while taking care of all the headaches of boating so you can focus on having fun. So without further ado, here’s three incredible places that would be a ton of fun to visit around the Bay:
Jack London Square: For starters, there are many excellent restaurants close to us at the interesting Jack London Square. There’s a guest dock right next to Scott’s Seafood, making it easy to walk around and get your fill of fantastic dining! Crooked City Cider Tap House and Beer Revolution are just a couple restaurants with excellent options for a good drink too.
Sausalito: For a longer jaunt, the adorable town of Sausalito has guest docks at the Clipper Yacht Harbor and several restaurants within walking distance. Be sure to get a good glimpse of Alcatraz Island and the Golden Gate Bridge on the way over!
Angel Island: Angel Island is also a fascinating little undeveloped piece of the Bay Area that is great to drive around and appreciate how it looked before it was settled. If you can snag a boat dock, there are great ground tram and Segway tours detailing the interesting history of the island as well.
Our membership is only about 1/3 the cost of owning a normal boat, so you can get out and enjoy all this on an average weekend. And since we are not a San Francisco Bay boat rental, you can be rest assured you will be given 5-star service when you come to our boat dock!
