About this club
Officially open in 2014, Carefree Boat Club Lake Simcoe is the FIRST club to operate in Canada! Paving the way to offer boaters and want to be boaters, a new and better alternative to getting on the water. Canadians can now enjoy boating made better!

Gas Dock & Ship Store
Enjoy the benefit of on-site gas and diesel fuel supply along with boat pump out facilities. You can also stock up for the day with ice cream, cold drinks and treats for the kids before you head out. Our ship store offers a wide selection of parts, boat supplies and great looking clothing available to make your boating experience more safe and enjoyable. Be sure to drop by and get your daily weather forecast update, morning coffee and newspaper.
Full Service Facility & Team
Enjoy stress-free boating by having your boat annually maintained by our team of full-time technicians. We service all makes and models of boats including Mercruiser and Volvo, stern drives, inboard engines and sport jet watercraft. In addition, we have on-site fiberglass and canvas repair or restoration, plus a 25-tonne travel lift and two 10,000 sq ft heated indoor storage facilities for year-round repairs and winter boat storage.
Restaurant – Harbour House Grill
Treat yourself to a day off in the galley and enjoy this large family restaurant that boasts a fun and friendly atmosphere with a very broad menu. The patio is surely designed to bring you close to the water and is open weather permitting with live entertainment on occasion. Special events have become very popular, which helps to create a special occasion worth reserving for. At Harbour House Grill you can enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Parking and Security
There is ample parking for you and your guests on all of our paved roadways and parking areas. A security guard is also on-site during the boating season.
What is there to do from this marina
Barrie is your perfect destination for recreational boating and fishing! Our location on Kempenfelt Bay, Lake Simcoe, is ideal. Lake Simcoe is part of the Trent Severn Waterway: a 387-kilometre water system connecting the east end of Lake Ontario to Georgian Bay, Lake Huron. Barrie offers transient docking, as well as two public boat launches. Aside from the City of Barrie Marina, there are also many private marinas in the area. Boaters can venture on-land to enjoy Barrie’s vibrant downtown, which is full of restaurants, shopping, and the services boaters would need- all within walking distance.
