WHAT IS A BOAT CLUB?
Carefree Boat Club is a private club. This means that our boats are only available to Members. We do not rent or charter our boats. Our members are the only ones with access to the fleet and they never pay a fee to use the boats.
Carefree Boat Club was founded in Virginia in 2002. Since then Carefree Boat Club has become the premier boat club operator in the US and Canada and we are continuing to grow. Everything we do is based on operating at the highest standards in the industry. Our membership ratios are strictly maintained (ten members for every one boat), as are the quality and upkeep of our boats. Our goal is to provide our members with the highest quality boating experience, to provide a safe and easy intro into boating for new boaters and to offer the best variety of boats and ports possible. Our ultimate goal is to make boating fun, easy and affordable.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
- Unlimited usage of all boats 18’ to 27’ is included in membership.
- You will have access to a first-class fleet of brand-new Center Consoles, Dual Consoles, Bow Riders, and Tri-toon boats.
- All boats in the fleet are kept anywhere from 1-3 years before replacing them with brand new models.
We encourage you to stop by anytime to see the quality of our boats firsthand.
- Members have Unlimited access to boats. Boat as much as you like.
YES. Members receive free, unlimited “On the Water” training with our Captain. Training covers navigation, docking, anchoring, and safety. We specialize in helping members with no experience become comfortable and confident boaters.

Members may also reserve boats at over 130 other Carefree Boat Club locations across the country — all included in membership. New locations are constantly being added. Check our locations page for updates to the list of cities with Carefree Boat Clubs.
YES. Our valet dock staff rolls out the red carpet for our members, helping you load yourselves and your gear onto the boats, answering any questions and providing you with local boating tips. Upon return, we help you off the boats and back out to your car. Leave the cleaning for us. Boating doesn’t get any easier than this.
YES. Some boats are allowed overnight once you are certified for overnight privileges.
Reservations can be made online up to 6 months in advance by logging in to RESNET, our proprietary online reservation system, from any computer or mobile device.
To maintain availability for all members, members may have a maximum of four advanced reservations on the calendar at any given time. Once a reservation is used a new one may be made, also known as rolling reservations.
Yes. Simply call the dock staff to find what’s available for “Spur of the Moment” use. Spur of the Moment use does not count as a reservation.
Carefree Boat Club has been making boats available to members for 15 years. With locations all over the country, we track boat usage by type and location, and can predict with accuracy when a boat needs to be added, or when we need to cap memberships. As the premier nationwide boating club, we understand the importance of boat availability. Ask to see our reservation system to see availability for yourself anytime!
No. We have a private fleet of new boats exclusively for the use of our members, and our boats are never available for rent. Carefree Boat Club prides itself on both the quality and excellent condition of our fleet, as well as maximizing boat availability for our members.
A membership to our club is structured like joining a gym or country club. We have different membership options available. Please call or text (609)-296-9400 or come visit us to learn more about which membership plan is right for you.
You only pay for the fuel you consume.
The dues amount is locked in for the term of membership. Dues are billed monthly or annually.
YES. Insurance is included. CBC maintains insurance that covers vessels, members, and guests.

Are you selling your boat because you don’t get enough use to justify the cost, but would still enjoy the boating lifestyle? Or maybe you would like to keep your boat, but are tired of all the upkeep?
We might be able to help…
We are always looking for new and like-new boats to add to our current fleet of bowriders, deckboats, and performance Tri-toons.. If your boat is less than a few years old and in excellent condition with low hours, we would like to learn more about it.
We have several ways we can help you transition from a boat owner to a club member. With our Boat Management Agreement, you own the boat, and we manage the upkeep, cleaning, storage, and insurance for you. You still have unlimited access to your boat, plus all of ours! We can also work out a straight purchase, a trade-in for membership, or a combination of both.
Just because you already own a boat doesn’t mean it’s too late to join the club!
