About This Club
Carefree Boat Club of Red Bank at Irwin Marine offers a boat and yacht rental membership that allows you to leave the work to us while enjoying life at sea. We are located at Irwin Marine next to Marine Park in Red Bank, New Jersey. The Irwin family has been serving the boating public since 1884.
**NEW FOR 2024**: We've purchased 5 new boats! Including Sailfish 245 Dual Consoles and Sailfish 241 Center Consoles. We also have a variety of pontoon boats and other boats to rent.
With us, you can forget about looking for boats for sale and the ongoing hassle of boat ownership. We cover the cost of yacht and boat purchase, slip fees, insurance, maintenance, repair, taxes, winterization, and depreciation. We have dock hands, mechanics, electronics repair, canvas repair, fiberglass repair resources to ensure our boats are well maintained.
Our expert crew will provide boat safety training to our members so you are comfortable and confident behind the wheel. After becoming a member you will be scheduled for the next available Boating Safety Course and will have your On-The-Water individual boat operation training scheduled. Our Be A Better Boater training program is included with membership at no additional cost. We teach you to operate a boat in tight quarters, navigate channels, practice emergencies, dock, rules of the road, radio operation, and how to use the many amenities that you will find on most boats.

Carefree Boat Club of Red Bank at Irwin Marine is located on the Navesink River. The Navseink River is located in Monmouth County and is approximately 8 miles long. The communities of Red Bank, Middletown, Fair Haven and Rumson surround the Navesink River. It extends along the north side of Red Bank, connecting to the Shrewsbury River and into Sandy Hook Bay near Highlands.
Marina amenities
When you arrive at our marina to go boating our knowledgeable staff will assist you and your family to the boat with your gear, ensure all safety items are serviceable and accounted for, give you a weather briefing and quickly help you get underway within minutes of arriving at the docks. Our marina provides clean bathhouses for all Carefree Members. Irwin Marine also maintains a complete bait and tackle shop of needed items for fishing and crabbing.
What is there to do from this marina?
Enjoy our beautiful marina and the scenic Navesink River. Go cruising, tubing or waterskiing. Leaving the Navesink you can go down the Shrewsbury River for a change of scenery where there is a large area of open water, dockside restaurants and fuel for your boat. Going north from the Navesink River you are led out into Sandy Hook Bay. From there you can dock at a little island where you’ll be sure to see other boaters. Even head to the Raritan Bay past the navy ships to Staten Island. Go a bit further and head into the heart of New York City’s waterways and see the big city from a whole different view.
When you get back eat at our marina restaurant, the Boondocks Fishery or take a stroll through Red Bank where you will find shops, restaurants, antique stores, theaters, hotels and more. In Red Bank you can find almost anything you need.
