The 22 Sisu is legendary among Downeast hulls. Sisu is a Finnish work that means stamina, fortitude, and "guts". This little beauty is aptly named. Originally drawn by Royal Lowell in the 1970s, her basic design is arguably the most seaworthy ever for a small powerboat. Modern composite materials plus a couple of design tweaks have made her even better. Recessed chines damp spray and add dynamic lift to her round chines as she accelerates. An added outboard bracket so the engine isn't sitting on the transom frees up an outrageous amount of space in her cockpit.
