WHAT SIZE BOATS WILL I HAVE ACCESS TO?
- Unlimited usage of all boats 21’ to 30’ are included in membership.
- You will have access to a fleet of premium brand boats including Cruisers, Center Console and Bay Fishing boats, as well as Bowriders and Deckboats.
- All boats in the fleet are kept anywhere from 1-3 years before replacing them with brand new models.
We encourage you to stop by anytime to see the quality of our boats firsthand.
IS THERE A LIMIT TO HOW MANY TIMES I CAN BOAT PER YEAR?
NO. Members have Unlimited access to boats. Boat as much as you like.
WILL I GET ANY TRAINING?
YES. Members receive free, unlimited “On the Water” training delivered by our USCG certified captains. Training covers navigation, docking, anchoring, and safety. We specialize in helping members with no experience become comfortable and confident boaters.
HOW MANY LOCATIONS CAN I BOAT FROM?
Members have unlimited boating from our Mayport location as well as access to boats at over 60 other Carefree Boat Club locations across the country — all included in membership. New locations are constantly being added. Check our locations page for updates to the list of cities with Carefree Boat Clubs.
ARE WATER TOYS INCLUDED?
YES! We have wakeboards and tubes for our members’ use, and we will even provide towels & ice for your cooler. All these additional items are provided as part of our concierge level service that our members enjoy at no additional cost.
DO YOU HAVE DOCK STAFF?
YES. Our valet dock staff rolls out the red carpet for our members, helping you load your gear onto the boats, answering any questions and providing you with local boating tips. Upon return, we help you off the boats and back out to your car. Leave the cleaning for us. Boating doesn’t get any easier than this!
CAN I USE THE BOATS FOR AN OVERNIGHT OUTING?
YES. Cruisers are allowed overnight once you are certified for overnight privileges.
DO YOU HAVE MEMBER SOCIAL EVENTS?
We provide a variety of social events and seminars to take part in and we communicate with our members regularly to ensure everyone is aware of these events. In addition, we will post these events on our web site and Facebook page.
HOW DO I RESERVE A BOAT?
Reservations can be made online up to 6 months in advance by logging in to RESNET, our proprietary online reservation system, from any computer or mobile device.
HOW MANY RESERVATIONS CAN I HAVE AT ONE TIME?
To maintain availability for all members, members may have a maximum of four advanced reservations on the calendar at any given time. Once a reservation is used a new one may be made, also known as rolling reservations.
CAN I CALL ON THE SAME DAY TO GET A BOAT?
Yes. Simply call the dock staff to find what’s available for “Spur of the Moment” use. Spur of the Moment use does not count as a reservation.
HOW DO I KNOW I WILL GET A BOAT?
Carefree Boat Club has been making boats available to members for 15 years. With locations all over the country, we track boat usage by type and location, and can predict with accuracy when a boat needs to be added, or when we need to cap memberships. As the premier nationwide boating club, we understand the importance of boat availability. Ask to see our reservation system to see availability for yourself anytime!
CAN NON-MEMBERS RENT YOUR BOATS?
No. We have a private fleet of new boats for the exclusive use of our members, and our boats are never for rent. Carefree Boat Club prides itself on both the quality and excellent condition of our fleet, as well as maximizing boat availability for our members.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
A membership to our club is structured like joining a gym or country club. We have different membership options available, so please call 904-595-6841 or come visit us to learn more about which membership plan is right for you.
WHAT DO I PAY FOR WHEN I BOAT EACH TIME?
You only pay for the fuel you consume.
WILL MY DUES INCREASE YEAR TO YEAR?
The dues amount is locked in for the term of membership. Dues are billed monthly or annually.
IS INSURANCE INCLUDED WITH MEMBERSHIP?
YES. Insurance is included. CBC maintains insurance that covers vessels, members, and guests.
